American League Injuries And Updates

The entire league has faced a rash of injuries this early on in the season. Fantasy owners have had to remain on their toes in order to adjust to the changes that come as a result of various players going into and out of the game. The American League has suffered its fair share of these injuries, and some of them that are currently ongoing are as follows.

Felix Hernandez suffered a minor injury in the form of a right quad strain. They say that his injury is not something that is going to be too serious. Perhaps it would be too reactionary to remove him from your team simply due to this. He could easily be back and playing in the league in no time.

Yordano Ventura is facing a similar minor injury. In his case it was a right calf cramp, and he is expected to be back out and playing again very shortly. Once again, a minor injury that can perhaps be ignored by fantasy owners.

Drew Smyly is facing a somewhat less certain future. He has to go through three more rehab starts before he will be able to make his return to the Rays. He injured his shoulder and is looking at trying to repair the damage a little longer than some of the others who are injured in the league.

Good news for owners of the Red Sox closer Koji Uehara as he is coming off the injured list and is expected to start playing again immediately. He had a hamstring injury but appears well enough to start playing again, so that is exactly what he is going to do.

As you can see, many of the injuries in this league are pretty minor but still worth monitoring closely.
