Favorable RB Matchups for Week 4

Last week, eight running backs went for more than 20 ESPN standard scoring fantasy points. In week one, only three running backs accomplished that and only two in the first week of the season. While some of these backs were huge surprises like Devonta Freeman and Chris Johnson but others were getting back to their old ways like Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore. We have a few decent match-ups this week that we can look to take advantage and hopefully, we will provide some decent value plays along the way.

Eddie Lacy – (FD: $7,800 DK: $6,900) @ San Francisco

His price has gone straight downhill in the past few weeks and I think this is the week to jump all over Lacy. We know San Francisco’s passing defense can get carved up any day but the 49ers have also given up 5 rushing TDs and over 200 on the ground in the past two weeks combined.

Frank Gore – (FD: $7,300 DK: $7,400) VS Jacksonville

Gore seemed to have found his stride last week, rushing for 86 yards and 2 TDs on only 14 carries. Granted the Jags were decent in the first two weeks against the rush but they got torched last week against the Pats and if Indy can get the offense rolling, I see Gore scoring twice and tossing up 100+ yards.

Latavius Murray – (FD: $7,500 DK: $6,300) @ Chicago

Latavius had his own coming out party last week against the Browns. He went for 139 yards and a score and he was all over the field. As said in other articles and will be seen again, the Bears are freaking terrible and losing both Bostick and Allen to trade this week is not going to help. I am big on Latavius this week and you should be too.

Mark Ingram – (FD: $8,100 DK: $6,000) VS Dallas

Dallas gave up three scores on the ground to Devonta Freeman last week. Devonta Freeman of all people. With Drew Bree’s playing this week and the Cowboys being so broken right now, I do expect this game to be a close one and the New Orleans to score some points. Ingram should be money in the red-zone and I will for sure have him in all of my DK line-ups. His price may be a bit much in FD this week but if you can fit him in, I suggest it.

Matt Forte – (FD: $8,300 DK: $7,100) VS Oakland

Oakland was stout against the run last week against Cleveland but in reality, it is the Browns. In the first two weeks of the season they gave up over 100 yards and at least a TD to opposing backfields. Last week was the first week that Forte didn’t have a catch out of the backfield this season but the Bears didn’t even look like they were trying to win so I am writing it off to the fact that Clausen was at the reigns and they were playing a defense that is elite. I like Forte this week for one reason, there is no chance Chicago gets their first win through the air.

Good Value

Arian Foster – (FD: $8,000 DK: $7,000) @ Atlanta*** Watch his health
Melvin Gordon – (FD: $6,800 DK: $4,900) VS Cleveland
Isaiah Crowell- (FD: $6,400 DK: $4,100) @ San Diego
Chris Ivory – (FD: $6,900 DK: $4,800) ENGLAND (Early game in London)
