NBA’s Best Big Men

As many of my readers know by now, I choose the big ugly rebounders before the the skill players like PG’s and SG’s. I believe rebounding is a more consistent stat and I like the shooting percentages that these guys boast a lot more than guards. It is hard to predict who is going to have a great night on the glass and who isn’t, but these 5 guys have all provided consistency for FanDuelers since day one and will always help your team.

#5: Nikola Vucevic

The Swiss big man has had a breakout year for the Magic. While the team has barely clung to life in the lowly East, Vucevic has quietly been putting up consistent stat lines night in and night out. He’s averaging over 11 boards/game and shoots 53.5% from the field. Combine that with 20 ppg and you have yourself a nice little option here.

#4: LaMarcus Aldridge

The first thing you need to know about Aldridge is he plays BIG minutes and I mean stupid big minutes. In his last 5 games, he is averaging 39 minutes, much more than most players in the league. He has over 10 rebounds/game throughout this season and is shooting 87% from the free throw line. Granted he only averages just over trips to the line a game, he is making up for it with 23 ppg and over a block/game as well.

#3: Pau Gasol

The Spanish Bull is currently averaging over 12 boards a game with Chicago. He puts up a modest 18 ppg but he is a consistent stat filler each and every night. He is shooting just under 50% from the field and is putting up 3 assists/game and 2 blocks, which are really helpful stats in FanDuel games.

#2: DeMarcus Cousin’s

The outspoken Center has had a really strong season for the King’s. He has over 12 rebounds/game and is pitching in 3.3 assists as well. He excels at drawing fouls and is making 9 trips to the line every night and makes his freebies at a rate of 80%, very good for a 6′ 11″ ball player. If he keeps scoring at the rate he is (23.5 ppg,) he could easily find himself in the top 10 in the league for scoring and rebounds.

#1: Anthony Davis

No contest. He is clearly far and away the best big man in fantasy basketball today. Shooting well over 50% from the field and averaging nearly 25/ppg, he is hands down having the best season of any big man in the league. 83% from the free throw line and nearly 3 blocks per game makes him the most consistent fantasy player in the league, in my opinion.
