Get Rich From Fantasy

Sneaky Pick Ups for Later in the Season

Just like any other sport, it is beneficial to find players that can provide value that other fantasy brains would not have thought of. In MLB fantasy games, there are ton of players to choose from and typically, some players will get lucky by throwing a moderate amount of money on a guy whose been hot and cold nearly all season. But, if a player can find some sneaky plays to rely on all summer, and get them at a great value, than there is nothing else that needs to be said. Some of these players may not have even cracked the big league club yet but they are expected to make an immediate impact this summer.

Oswaldo Arcia

The Twin’s outfielder has some of the most ridiculous power in the AL Central but in his short career, he has struggled to stay consistent and this season, stay healthy. However, when he comes off the DL here shortly, he will most likely head to Fort Myers on a rehab stint but will be worth grabbing right away. With the Twins playing their best baseball in nearly half a decade, he should be able to slot right in and make a difference by providing some power in the bottom half.

Carlos Correa

Although the 20-Year-Old has only played 8 games with AAA Fresno this season, the Astros are really excited for this Shortstop to crack the line-up. He is considered by many to be the future of the franchise at the hot-corner and he has shown signs of brilliance since he arrived in Fresno. He his hitting .316 in his 8 games with Fresno and has yet to give up an error. In his 29 games played with AA Corpus Christi, he only committed one error. He hasn’t cracked the big club’s line-up just yet but he will be there in no time.

Sean Doolittle

Closer’s typically don’t bring a ton of value to a squad but finding one that will come at a decent price and have the ability to be an elite closer is not something to squander. The Oakland A’s have a left-handed pitcher who has yet to throw this season in the big’s but many expect him to step into the closing role for the A’s. He is currently on a rehab stint after being sidelined by a shoulder issue but is improving upon every appearance. After dealing a few home-runs in his first stint, he has settled down and threw a scoreless frame for AA Midland yesterday. Expect big things from this lefty when he get’s back to his old self.

Josh Hamilton

Let’s just get it out of the way and say that this is not a mistake. After the grueling first 2 months of the season, Hamilton has finally found himself in familiar place in Texas and is starting to find his form after hitting 9-16 with 4 RBI’s and 9 Runs scored in four games with AA affiliate Frisco. He is now with AAA Round Rock and there are rumors he could be active for the Ranger’s on Monday when the team visits Cleveland. Being back in a hitter’s ballpark will be good for Josh and he is not a player to avoid.
